Laura Laakkonen, Illustrator

Laura Laakkonen was born in Finland, but raised in all corners of the world. While living abroad she has seen and experienced the many textures, sounds, and tastes of seven different countries where she has lived, and many more.

Laura acquired her first AAS degree in Fine Arts from Altos de Chavon, an affiliate of Parsons The New School for Design. After receiving a scholarship to continue her degree in Parsons, she moved to New York. She graduated on May 19th 2006, with a BFA, major in illustration.

Laura's works consist of painting, drawing, mixed media, sculpture, and murals. All of which are vibrant in color.

Laura is currently working as a freelance illustrator.
